Description
We are proud to introduce the Chamber’s newest networking initiative — a Women’s Group designed to foster connection, professional growth, and community impact.
This meetings speaker: Dr. Jackie Kapushion
Dr. Jackie Kapushion has served nearly 40 years in public education. She was appointed the Superintendent of St. Vrain Valley Schools in 2025, after previously serving as Deputy Superintendent and Area Assistant Superintendent in St. Vrain, as well as in various roles including Assistant Superintendent of Learning Services and Director of Professional Development in other Colorado school districts. She also previously spent five years as an elementary principal and several years as an elementary teacher. Dr. Kapushion holds a Doctorate from the University of Colorado at Denver in Leadership and Administration. She also earned a BA degree in Elementary Education from the University of Wyoming, and an MA degree in Administration, Supervision and Curriculum Development from the University of Colorado Denver, where she serves as an adjunct faculty member in the School of Education. She has served as a board member for the I Have a Dream Foundation, the Carbon Valley Rotary, the Longmont Chamber Board, and also served on the board for A Woman’s Work in Longmont, Colorado. In 2011, Jackie was recognized as the Administrator of the Year by her school district. In 2018, she was recognized by the Longmont Times-Call 100, as someone who is making a difference in the community, and she was recognized with the Service Above Self Award by the Erie Rotary Club. In 2025, she was recognized by the St. Vrain Valley Schools Education Foundation as the inaugural Education Champion award recipient, and was recently recognized by the University of Colorado Denver with an Alumni Leadership Award.
This will be the Chamber’s only networking group open to both members and non-members, creating an inclusive space for women at all stages of their careers and business journeys.
The group will meet twice each month on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays, providing a consistent and structured opportunity to connect.
Each month will feature two distinct experiences. The first meeting will host a carefully curated outside speaker who brings relevant insight, practical takeaways, and inspiration for women in business and leadership. The second meeting will spotlight a member of the group, offering an opportunity to share their business, passion project, or area of expertise while building visibility and strengthening peer connections.
This Women’s Group will also include a philanthropic component. Each year, the group will select and support a local nonprofit organization, reinforcing our shared commitment to giving back to the community.
There will be a nominal participation fee for Chamber members and a higher fee for non-members. These funds will support program operations and allow the group to make an annual philanthropic contribution.
We look forward to cultivating a dynamic and supportive network of women committed to growth and impact.
